The Storeroom Key in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree is likely one of the two keys you can stumble on while traveling through Belurat, the Tower Settlement. But once you find out where to take it, you have one more mystery to solve.
The Storeroom Key can easily be found on a corpse as you make your way through Belurat toward the boss fight. It’ll be hard to miss since the body is along the path. In other words, it’s not as hard to track down as the Well Depths Key. Speaking of which, to find the Storeroom Key in Belurat, we must start at the same Site of Grace needed for said Well Depths Key.
Where to find the Storeroom Key in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree
Let’s start our journey at the Small Private Altar, the second Site of Grace you discover at Belurat. If you need an idea of where it is, keep progressing past the settlement square, under the bridge where those two enemies are firing magic, and then up the ladder.
The directions to the Storeroom Key are the same as our directions to the Well Depths Key, which you can read in greater detail in the guide for the latter. I suggest following those same steps until you reach the corpse with the key. But, in brief, after leaving the Small Private Altar, take a right and go up two sets of stairs. Hang a sharp right and enter an alley with a building to your left and a broken wall to the right.
Take a left when you hit the wall. At the end of the path is a yellow river that leads to a waterfall. Walk along the river while dodging/fighting foes and then enter the building along the right side. Climb the ladder, and the corpse with the Storeroom Key is waiting at the top.
Where to take the Storeroom Key
Return to the Site of Grace – Small Private Altar. Enter the room that branches off as before, but this time go left toward the bridge. Take sweet revenge on the two enemies who were firing at you earlier and walk until the end of the bridge.
To your left is the Storeroom. Yes, it really was that close.
Inside the Storeroom, you’ll find a woman. She’s isn’t helpful, suggesting you must do something first to get her to speak with you. Let’s go over that part next.
How to get the Storeroom woman to speak with you
There is a clue on what to do with the Storeroom woman, who’s called the Hornsent Grandam in the game. On a table across from where she sits is a mask similar to the one used by the Divine Beast Dancing Lion, the boss of Belurat. This is our hint.
Return to the Hornsent Grandam after completing the Dancing Lion boss fight. You’ll find her now weeping and still refusing to speak with you. Put on the Divine Beast Head mask you got as a reward for the boss battle and speak with her again. She’ll at last respond to you, commenting on your, erm, musk.
Exhausting her dialogue will reward you with the Watchful Spirit Incantation. Here’s what it does:
“Summon a guardian spirit above the caster’s head. The spirit never strays far from the caster, conjuring several apparitions before dissipating.”
Return to the Hornsent Grandam later and speak with her again to receive Scorpion Stew, an edible item that boosts “physical damage negation temporarily and gradually restores HP.” It also apparently has a “rank, sour smell,” which is appropriate for a game and DLC that love you so dearly.
