With the recent companion rework that came to Warframe, there also came a handful of new mods to further expand builds and synergies. One of the more popular ones to come out is Duplex Bond. Here’s what you need to know about the Duplex Bond mod and how to get it in Warframe.
How to get Duplex Bond in Warframe
You can purchase this mod from Brother in the Necralisk on Deimos for 20,000 Standing. It’s important to note that you’ll have to be Rank 3 with the Entrati faction before it’s available for purchase. With that said, you will have to farm up quite a bit if you haven’t reached that level already.
Take on the various activities in Deimos, like Mother’s bounties, Daughter’s Exocrine assignments, and capturing the wildlife. You’ll need an assortment of the different NPC tokens for Sacrifice as you climb up the ranks.
Luckily, there isn’t a cap on how many tokens you can earn a day. There’s a cap on Standing that resets every 24 hours, so keep that in mind with how much you farm. Remember not to burn yourself out and change up the activities you take on.
Alternatively, you can purchase this mod from someone via the Trade Tab. Typical offers for the Duplex Bond mod range from 15 to 30 Platinum. Since many higher and maxed-out players will be sitting pretty on excess family tokens, they can max out a day’s worth of standing and purchase multiple copies of the mod.
Earning Platinum is a much more straightforward process and eliminates the dire need to farm ranks for the Entrati faction. Though, it is recommended that you go up as high as you can with them as there are some important wares that can come in handy for later game activities.
Is Duplex Bond worth it?
If you are someone who likes to equip your companions with damage, this will be a near match made in heaven. However, don’t expect pet builds to dominate the meta anytime soon. This is mainly because, in order to summon additional copies of your sentinel or pet, you have to spend 100 energy per clone. You’d need a good caster frame with a large energy pool to maintain upkeep of additional clones.
On top of that, cloned pets cannot use any abilities. They purely exist for aggro and attack. Actual places in which this will be useful are when you have stationary objectives. As of right now, this mod is just to add a more fun factor to Warframe’s speedy gameplay.
