Your grade is one of the most important markers of progression in Roblox’s Type Soul. A big part of the game is rising the ranks from Trainee to Elite Grade. However, doing so is different depending on your class.

This is a big way that Grade is different than your level, as there are specific criteria for advancing aside from just your general XP. In order to attain the lofty position of Elite Rank, this is how you do it in each

How to increase your grade as a Hollow

Perhaps the most straightforward when it comes to advancing in Grade, Hollows only have two different methods for reaching Elite Grade. To get to Semi-Grade 1, you simply need mission XP, but after that, there’s more to it.

  • From Grade 5 to Semi-grade 1 is only upgraded through mission XP.
  • To increase your rank from semi-grade 1 to Elite Grade, you need grip and raid XP alongside your mission XP.

How to increase your grade as a Soul Reaper

There’s a bit more variation when it comes to rising in the Soul Reaper Ranks. In particular, joining a division and killing Shikai are important steps in their advancement, which you can see here.

  • From Trainee to Grade 3 you just need mission XP.
  • From Grade 3 to Grade 2 you need to start acquiring experience from the division you joined as well as normal mission XP
  • From Grade 2 to Semi-grade 1 requires you to gain Shikai XP (available when you reach grade 2) on top of division duties and mission XP
  • From Semi-grade 1 to Elite Grade, you’ll need the full gamut of Raid XP, Grip XP, Shikai EXP, Missions XP, and Division XP.

How to increase your grade as a Quincy

Like Hollows, Quincies don’t see much change when it comes to the requirements to raising your Grade. However, after Semi-Grade 1, you will need to kill Hollows (NPCs, not players) to get to the finish line.

  • From Grade 5 to Semi-grade 1, you simply need Mission XP
  • From Semi-grade 1 to Elite Grade – Mission XP, Raid XP, and Grip EXP, and you also need to kill Hollow NPCs.
