Felbat is a pretty elusive Pal. It can only be found as an Alpha Pal in the wild, otherwise you’re going to have to breed it. Despite being difficult to come by, Felbat is a very worthy addition to your team for a few reasons, so let’s discuss how to get one.
Felbat is a dark type Pal which boasts a level 3 Medicine Production skill and a wide array of Active Skills which deal high damage. By capturing or killing Felbat, players are guaranteed to receive Cloth and also have a chance to receive a Small Pal Soul, as it is one of very few Pals who drop them.
However, possibly the biggest boast that Felbat has up it’s sleeve (or should I say cloak?), is the fact that it is a healing Pal. Its Partner Skill, Life Steal, absorbs damage taken while in battle and restores the player’s HP. This alone makes the effort required to obtain Felbat very worth it.
Where to find Alpha Felbat
At level 23, Alpha Felbat isn’t too difficult to beat once you’ve reached mid-game or beyond, but it can be quite challenging if you’re under level 20.
As a dark type Pal, Felbat is weak to dragon type Pals, so if you’re heading into this fight then I’d suggest bringing Chillet or Dinossom. Others, such as Astegon or Jormuntide, would obviously be better but considering the level of Felbat, they might just prove to be overkill.
To find Alpha Felbat, head to the Azurobe Hill fast travel point and you’ll find Felbat’s Dungeon, The Sealed Realm of the Abyssal Night, directly North.
How to breed Felbat
If you’d prefer to get Felbat through breeding or if you want to use his parents passive traits in order to produce a particularly strong one, you can do so pretty easily by using one of the following pairs of Pals:
- Direhowl and Lovander
- Rushoar and Celaray
- Eikthyrdeer and Gobfin
- Teafant and Grintale
- Univolt and Bristla
