How to get sand in Lego Fortnite
Before obtaining glass in Lego Fortnite, you’ll first need sand. This is the easy part of the process, as sand is found in quite a lot of places. You’ll want to either head to the Dry Valley (desert) biome in the world or to any of the beaches near large bodies of water. Once you find sand, equip a shovel and start digging up the materials.
Take the sand to haul back to your village; now it’s time to turn it into the highly valuable glass.
How to make glass in Lego Fortnite
Once you have sand, the real fun begins in Lego Fortnite. To get glass, you need the Metal Smelter station. Unfortunately, the Metal Smelter is one of the last facilities you unlock, which makes this whole process rather annoying. You need a level nine village (of 10 in total) before you are able to unlock the Metal Smelter. If you’ve reached level nine or higher, here is the recipe to build a Metal Smelter:
- 3 Blast Cores
- 15 Brightcores
- 35 Obsidian Slabs
Blast Cores are a bit of a challenge to find. Head to the Dry Valley (desert) biome and look in caves. You will find lava caves, which often have chests with Blast Cores. Additionally, Blast Roller enemies lurk here, so fight them for more materials. Fortunately, Bright Cores and Obsidian are also in the Dry Valley caves, so you can farm them simultaneously.
Once you have a Metal Smelter, it is actually a pretty easy crafting recipe to make glass if you have the right materials to make it. Here is everything you need to make one piece of glass:

- 2 sand
