The Sakurajima update to Palworld has brought a lot of new and exciting things to the game. Outside of new Pals and areas to explore, one thing that has people excited is the new building type — Glass.
If you’ve ever wanted to build a greenhouse, or you want to trap some Pals in small transparent boxes to observe what they do, you’re in luck. There’s now a full range of glass building pieces which can be used alone, or alongside any other type of building structure.
How to build a Glass building in Palworld
To unlock glass buildings, you’ll need to reach at least level 38. The set will cost you 2 Technology Points, and once purchased you’ll have access to the following building pieces. Each piece you place will use up 1 Stone and 2 Paldium Fragments:
- Glass Base
- Glass Wall
- Wall with Glass Windows
- Glass Triangular Wall
- Glass Roof
- Glass Slanted Roof
- Glass Stairs
- Wall with Glass Door
- Glass Pillar
Glass buildings are surprisingly sturdy and, like Stone or Metal walls, they do not burn. This makes them perfect as a defense structure for the base, as you can still see what’s coming through the walls.
These glass buildings are also a solid alternative to Viewing Cages, which take up a lot of space. A 1×1 box for a Pal is easy to build and doesn’t cost a lot of resources, meaning you can display your favorites. You could even build a zoo, if you’re that way inclined, without all the lag issues that Viewing Cages can sometimes bring.
