As you climb the Palworld technology tree, you’re going to want to invest more in powerful weaponry.

Soon you can get your hands on actual firearms, but those can’t be slapped together with wood and glue. You’ll need Polymer, and creating it means tracking down High Quality Pal Oil in Palworld.

As with Leather and other materials in Palworld, High Quality Pal Oil can be harvested from Pals that roam the vast, open landscape. But that’s not your only option.

Where to look for High Quality Pal Oil in Palworld

There are two primary methods to find High Quality Pal Oil: You can hunt down the Pals that drop the stuff or you can find a place to buy it. The former is arguably cheaper, but you’ll need to find the right habitats to prune. You may also find some in chests, but let’s go over the more guaranteed locations.

Here are some Pals that can drop HighQuality Pal Oil:

  • Damud
  • Mammorest
  • Digtoise
  • Grintale (active at night)
  • Flambelle

Be sure to look at each creature’s habitat in the Paldeck to track them down more easily. The Damud and Digtoise are great targets. Both can be found in the desert at the center of the map, making farming the oil much easier.

You can buy it, too

As mentioned, there is another way to find the oil and that’s to buy it from a merchant. One in particular seems to be the choice of the Palworld community. Way up north, there’s a town in a desert called Duneshelter.

Inside you’ll find a merchant who often has stores of High Quality Pal Oil for 300 Gold a pop:

Just keep in mind that Duneshelter is a higher-level area, so be sure to go prepared. I’d also suggest using a flying mount to stay outside the range of lethal Pals and human enemies.
