Time to go prospecting
The World of Warcraft expansion, Dragonflight, came out in November 2022 and has been a hit with long-time fans of the MMORPG. The Jewelcrafter profession is still a part of the world, even in the new expansion. This profession crafts various gems to level up armor and weapons. While it can be tough to level up, it’s still a worthy and useful profession for making a profit when you sell your wares. Along the way, you will need to gather various ores and reagents, including the Illimited Diamond reagent. This guide will tell you what it is and how to get it.
What are Illimited Diamonds?
Illimited Diamonds are a jewel crafting reagent used to, well, craft items. Specifically, you will need it if you are going to make any of the Primalist Gems. These include the Fierce Illimited Diamond (Air), Skillful Illimited Diamond (Earth), Inscribed Illimited Diamond (Fire), and Resplendent Illimited Diamond (Water). These gems bind to you once picked up and boost your primary stat and one other. The reagent is described in-game as “highly desirable,” and can be used to make several Epic-quality items.
How to get them
Though it can be bought and sold at the auction house, the best way to get Illimited Diamonds is to start prospecting ores in the Dragon Isles. It goes without saying that you will need to be actively pursuing a Jewelcrafting profession in order to do any of this. Once you see the Jewelcrafting trainer and unlock the two Jewelcrafting Essentials: Dragon Isles Crushing and Dragon Isles Prospecting, you will be able to continue your search.
Utilizing Dragon Isles Prospecting, you will search five Dragon Isles ores for precious gems. This process will destroy the ores but will let you search for the Illimited Diamond. The five ores are your responsibility to provide. One strategy is to buy up a bunch of Serevite Ore because it is the cheapest and easiest to obtain. Each time you use Dragon Isles Prospecting, you destroy five ores. You will see Illimited Diamond pop up in your backpack if it is obtained from this process. It may take several tries before you get your prize though, so be patient.
