Star Path duties in Disney Dreamlight Valley are often full of riddles that require familiarity with game mechanics, character stories, or various items. Multicolored shrimp is one example of this, as it requires you to know where to find shrimp and every variant you can find.
How to go angling for multicolored shrimp in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Disney Dreamlight Valley features two shrimp types for this Star Path task: regular and Prisma shrimp. You can find regular shrimp in Dazzle Beach by focusing on blue fishing circles, while Prisma Shrimp are an uncommon variant from the A Rift in Time expansion pack. If you have Rift in Time, you can travel to the Wild Tangle’s Grove biome and find Prisma shrimp in orange fishing spots.
Although Prisma shrimp are rarer than regular ones, they’re a great alternative if you can’t find any blue spots and want to quickly check another area for more options. With tasks like this, even one extra shrimp can make a difference between finishing the Star Path duty now and a few hours later.
To make things easier, hang out with a high-level fishing friend while doing this. I had Goofy by my side as I was fishing for shrimp, and since I had him at level 10, it nearly cut my time in half, having him give me extra shrimps every time I got one. Even low-level friends can help you out, so it’s worth inviting someone for a chance of doubling your rewards.
Once you fish for some multicolored shrimp, you’ll complete the Lovely Monsters Star Path duty and gain points towards redeeming cosmetic rewards and Moonstones. Although exact values differ from each Star Path, you’ll usually get 10-20 points for tasks like this, which is enough for items like motifs and hairstyles. You can also save up for more expensive rewards if you want to buy a character costume or large amounts of Moonstones.
