You don’t need to upgrade your crafting bench to access the recipe as long as you have both of these resources on hand. Once you have glass and biomass, head into your crafting bench and select the menu where you find torches and gliders to craft your power cell.
If you don’t yet have glass or biomass, obtaining them is initially a complicated process. Getting glass requires farming sand in the Dry Valley desert biome and smelting it in a metal smelter.
