How to get pumpkins in Cult of the Lamb

Really, they’re just winter squashes.

Did you know that pumpkins aren’t a real thing? I’m not saying you’re imagining them, but they’re really just a very specific type of maturity of a Winter Squash.

There’s very little different about them compared to other Winter Squash. They aren’t considered a separate vegetable, but when they’re big and bright orange, we call them pumpkins.

Anyway, you’re not here for pumpkin facts. Not that kind, anyway. You’re here because you want to know how to get them in Cult of the Lamb. They are extremely helpful in cooking and feeding your cult, and since you don’t have a lot of options early in the game, you might think to seek them out. They can also be made into “carved pumpkin” decorations if you want to get festive.

Well, good news and bad news.

The bad news is that you can’t get them right away in Cult of the Lamb. You need seven followers, which will open the gate to Anura. The good news is when you get to Anura, you really can’t miss them. Anura has pumpkins growing all over it, which means you simply have to wipe out a pumpkin patch, and that will net you pumpkins with a chance of pumpkin seeds.

Seeds are important if you don’t want to keep making trips to Anura. You can use them to cultivate pumpkins, which, when you harvest them, have a chance to drop more seeds. You can also buy pumpkin seeds from Rakshasa after you discover him in a dungeon. You probably won’t trip over the caterpillar man until after your first visit to Anura, but if you’re getting unlucky with finding seeds, he can top you up.
