If you’re trying to increase your friendships with the villagers of Stardew Valley, there’s no better option than giving them gifts. One item added in update 1.6 is now the best item to give anyone: a universally loved gift that’s guaranteed to give at least one full heart of friendship to whoever receives it.
Stardrop Tea cannot be crafted, and although there are a few ways to get your hands on it, it’s not very common. When given to a villager on a regular day, you’re guaranteed to gain 250 friendship points, which will provide one heart. If given to a villager on their birthday or as a gift during the Feast of the Winter Star, you’re guaranteed to gain 750 friendship points or three hearts.
How to get Stardrop Tea in Stardew Valley
There are only four ways to get your hands on Stardrop Tea in Stardew Valley. The first method of getting Stardrop Tea is through Golden Fishing Treasure Chests, although this is definitely the least guaranteed way to find it, as it’s entirely based on luck and RNG.
The second way to get Stardrop Tea is through Mayor Lewis’ Prize Machine. Handing in your fifth Prize Ticket will result in a guaranteed Stardrop Tea, and once you’ve collected all 22 ordered prizes, you have a chance to get another Stardrop Tea from any subsequent Prize Ticket you hand in.
Another way to get Stardrop Tea is by completing Mr. Raccoon’s requests. However, you only stand a chance of getting Stardrop Tea this way after completing at least five of Mr. Raccoon’s requests, so you’ve got some hard work ahead of you before you’re rewarded with Stardrop Tea this way.
The final way to get Stardrop Tea is by selecting Remixed Bundles when starting a new save file. If you do this, you could possibly be asked to complete the ‘Helpers Bundle’ as part of the Bulletin Board. If you do get this Bundle, you’ll need to give in the following items in order to receive one Stardrop Tea:
- 1 Prize Ticket
- 5 Mystery Boxes
