Even though the bulk of your combat will be combing melee attacks with your swords, the Bow is extremely useful. It can be used to progress past thorny brush and access certain areas, as well as in combat. It may not be as effective damage-wise, but some battles are much easier with the bow. Here is how to get the Bow in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown.
Where to find the Bow of Menolias
Thankfully, you will find Bow of Menolias as part of the main story progression in the game. Eventually, Sargon will find a spot he can’t progress through without a Bow. You’ll then get the objective to Find Menolias in the Forest.
From here, head to the new marker indicated on your map in the lower right section of Mount Qaf. Here you will find the Forest and eventually encounter a colossal boar miniboss named Erlik. Upon defeating Erlik the area to the east will unlock where you can now progress.
Upon reaching the marker on your map in the Forest, a brief cutscene will trigger in which you will find the Bow of Menolias and can now use it!
How to use the Bow in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown
Once you acquire the Bow of Menolias you can now use the Bow at any time. To use it, simply press Triangle to fire an arrow, and use the Left Analog Stick to aim where you fire the bow.
Unfortunately, you can only carry 10 Arrows at a time, which is indicated in the bottom left corner of the screen. You can pickup Arrows from Arrow Stands located across Mount Qaf, as well as from various vendors.
That is how to get the Bow in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown. Thankfully you can’t miss it, as the story requires you to pick it up to progress. Now you can use the bow both in combat and to access previously inaccessible areas!
