How to get the High Voltage mod in Warframe

What a shocking discovery.

Warframe High Voltage Mod

While most mods in Warframe can be earned through general gameplay, some require you to farm specific enemies or complete specific missions to have a chance at obtaining them. The Malignant Force mod is a good example of this, requiring you to farm the Corrupted Vor mini-boss in the Void of all things.

One such mod only has two places to drop, both of which are based on chance. Here’s how to get the High Voltage mod in Warframe.

The High Voltage mod is primarily acquired through Sabotage Caches on Hive Sabotage. The only possible mission to find these is on the node Naeglar, Eris, with the caches randomly spread out throughout each hallway. Finding them isn’t too bad, as you merely need to hunt for the Corpus cabinets that are colored white instead of red or green. They should also emit a faint sound when you’re near one. If you can find all three, then you’ll have a 4.51% chance to get the High Voltage mod to drop.

If that sounds like a painful grind (and trust me, it is), then your next best bet is to wait and see if Baro Ki’Teer has it for sale. He brings his shop to a marked relay every second weekend, and with that often brings High Voltage. If you go this route, you need 300 Ducats and 150,000 Credits to purchase the mod. It won’t have any upgrades on it, so you’ll need to handle that yourself.

Is the High Voltage mod worth using?

The High Voltage mod grants 60% Electricity and 60% Status Chance to any rifle you put it on. This is similar to other mods such as Shell Shock, Jolt, and Voltaic Strike, which provide the same buffs to shotguns, pistols, and melee weapons respectively.

As a great way to apply Electricity, High Voltage is great to use for any build that might benefit from Electricity Damage. There aren’t many builds that need it, but the few that do benefit greatly.
