How to get the Pump Action Shotgun in Alan Wake 2

To find the Pump Action Shotgun in Alan Wake 2, players need to progress to the chapter titled “Return 6: Scratch.” During this chapter, you will explore the Bright Falls Sheriff’s Office. As you navigate through the police station, look for a glass display case showcasing the Pump Action Shotgun. When you find it, you’ll see that the case is locked and requires a three-digit code to open.

The clue to solving this code can be found in the same room. On the desk, you will find a group of books with different authors. These authors are Quincey, Baston, and Westmore.

To crack the code, you need to assign a numerical value to each letter based on its position in the alphabet. The code follows a pattern where the letters A to I correspond to numbers 1 to 9. From J onwards, the pattern restarts, with J being 0 and K representing 1.

Using this code cipher, assign the corresponding numbers to the first letters of each author’s name. For example, the authors’ names begin with the letters Q, B, and W. Applying the code cipher, we get the numbers 7, 2, and 3, respectively. Therefore, the correct code to unlock the case is 723.

Once you decipher the code, return to the locked display case containing the Pump Action Shotgun. Enter the code 723 into the lock, and the case will open. With the Pump Action Shotgun in your possession, you can brave the challenges that lie ahead.
