How to get the Stropha in Warframe

A gun that’s a blade sounds badass.

Warframe Stropha

Some weapons in Warframe are gotten in the strangest ways. The Proboscis Cernos for example requires the Mutalist Cernos to craft, which itself requires the Cernos to craft.

While they can get wacky sometimes, it is still fun to grind away and get Mastery bit by bit. One such weapon can be a little annoying to obtain but does have a unique quirk in where its parts drop. Here’s how to get the Stropha in Warframe.

Where to get the Stropha’s blueprint and parts in Warframe

The Stropha’s main blueprint is acquired as a possible drop from the Jackal at 15%. You can fight the boss on the node Fossa, Venus. On average, you should get the Stropha blueprint in about six attempts. As for the parts, these can all be acquired from differing levels of the Granum Void. Those parts, and the difficulties needed to get them, are below:

  • Stropha Barrel: Granum Void – 22.22% chance
  • Stropha Blade: Granum Void – 22.22% chance
  • Stropha Receiver: Extended Granum Void – 29.63% chance
  • Stropha Stock: Nightmare Granum Void – 29.63% chance

To access the Granum Void, you need to load into a mission node aboard a Corpus ship and hunt for the Granum Hand, which is a giant golden hand. Here, you need to use the appropriate Granum Crown (which are acquired from the randomly spawning Treasurer enemies), and then access the Granum Void. Here, you need to kill as many enemies as possible before the time expires. Some enemies drop small triangles on death, which can be picked up to increase your time. You must get the Rotation C reward for a chance at one of the above parts. This involves killing 75 enemies in the Granum Void.

Once you have all the parts, head to your Orbiter’s Foundry, begin building the Stropha, then wait 24 hours. Once the time is up, the Stropha will be yours.

Is the Stropha worth using?

The Stropha is a gunblade melee weapon, meaning that certain attacks cause you to fire it like a pistol. It brings with it the highest base Damage, Critical Chance, and Critical Multiplier of all gunblades, along with high Attack Speed on its ranged attack. However, its nature as a shotgun gunblade means its range leaves a bit to be desired.

Despite this downside, the Stropha is widely considered to be one of the best melee weapons in the game, similar to its brother the Redeemer Prime. If you want to run it yourself, most builds focus on strengthening its already strong Crit potential and Attack Speed.
