Toys will be toys
The inventor is appropriately one of the most inventive jobs you can unlock in Octopath Traveler 2. By bringing certain items to Arkar, you’ll unlock new Inventor skills in addition to support skills that anyone can equip. If you’re looking to make the Tin Horn, you’ll need an Empowering Lychee, Mythical Horn, and a Tin Toy. You likely have the first two items by default, but the Tin Toy can be tricky to obtain.
In truth, the Tin Toy isn’t exactly hidden away. It’s just located somewhere you might not have double checked. Here’s where you can grab it.
Where the Tin Toy is located
The Tin Toy is located in the town of Wellgrove, but there’s a slight catch; you need to clear Partitio’s third chapter first. If you search for the Tin Toy before this point, you won’t find toys of any variety.
Once that step of the journey is squared away, you’ll want to enter the Wellgrove Department Store at night. In the middle of the second floor, you’ll find a Merchant all by himself. He’s the one carrying the Tin Toy, so you’ll need to use Agnea’s Entreat or Osvald’s Mug to obtain the item. If you decide violence is the answer, the Merchant has a strength rating of six.
That’s all there is to it! Now you can return to Arkar and obtain the Tin Horn for yourself. This skill will fill your party’s Latent Power gauges when used, potentially filling them completely if used with a max boost. The reward is well worth the effort!
