As you play through Lords of the Fallen, you will find your most powerful enemy is the simple lock. If you hope to get into certain areas, you will need the correct key. The Pilgrim’s Perch Key will give you access to all manner of interesting places in the early game.
Where to get the Pilgrim’s Perch Key
You can purchase the Pilgrim’s Perch Key for 9500 Vigor from Captain Stomund at the Skyrest. You arrive at Skyrest. You can find him standing just to the right of the Vestige of Ethryg. You will get to Skyrest just after the Pieta boss fight. Finish off the boss, then head down the stairs in the tower on the left side to reach Skyrest. Here, you will find a range of NPCs, including Stomund.
Stomund is quite grumpy at first, but if you start a few conversations with him, you will eventually get to the option to purchase items from him. One of those items is the Pilgrim’s Perch Key. 9500 Vigor, at this point in the game, is quite expensive, so you will need to farm a little bit to get the key. It is worth buying pretty early as if you can have it by the time you actually get to Pilgrim’s Perch, that will save some time.
How to get to Pilgrim’s Perch
To get to Pilgrim’s Perch, you will need to go out the door to the far right of Stomund and then go down the steps to the right. These will lead you to another NPC named Adreas of Ebb. Chat with him a bit if you like, but he doesn’t have much to offer right now.
Continue down the steps until you reach a ladder at the end, and grab the Old Mournstead Spear just before you climb the ladder. This will bring you to a wooden walkway. Head down it, and you will come to yet another NPC, a suspiciously tall man named Thehk-Ihir. He is almost as tall as you are despite the fact that he is crouching, so he might be one to watch. Talk to him a couple of times, and he will give you a stick. Continue past him until you come to the edge of the scaffolding, and then prepare to drop down to make your way to Pilgrim’s Perch. Make sure you have done everything you might want to do before heading further, as you can’t get back for a while after you drop down. There is really only one route forward, so keep going until you reach the Perch.
How to use the Pilgrim’s Perch Key
Once you get to Pilgrims Perch, you will find locked doors that can only be opened with the key. They are reasonably rare but can hide some solid loot.
Door 1
The first door is technically found just before you reach the Perch itself. After fighting the boss (I won’t say which one due to spoilers, but if you got there already, you know, if you didn’t, then prepare for a fight), keep going forward and then go up the first ladder you come to. Go through the tunnel at the top, and you will find a door on the right side. Inside is a chest with the Sacred Resonance armor. This is a solid set against physical damage.
Door 2
After making your way through the Perch for a while, you will come to the Vestige of Blind Agatha. There is a large, carved door here that you can open if you have the key. It leads to a pretty expansive area.
(This guide is under construction, and I will add more door locations as I discover them)
