How to increase inventory space in Coral Island

To increase your inventory space in Coral Island, you need to go to Sam’s General Store. The store is located on the right side of your farm in the townie area. Keep in mind that the store operates only on specific hours, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Head inside the store during the opening time, interact with Sam, and choose the “Upgrade Bag” option. Sam offers several backpack upgrades, each providing additional storage space for your items. The first backpack upgrade costs 500 coins and increases your inventory storage from the initial 15 slots to 20 slots. This initial upgrade is a worthwhile investment, allowing you to carry more resources and explore the island without constantly returning to your farmhouse or Sam’s store.

The second upgrade will cost 3,500 coins and expand your bag to 30 slots. Subsequent upgrades follow the same trend, with prices increasing as your storage capacity increases.

How to craft makeshift chest for additional storage

While backpack upgrades provide a significant boost to your inventory space, you can further optimize your storage capacity by crafting Makeshift Chests. These chests serve as additional storage containers, allowing you to organize your items more effectively.

To craft a makeshift chest, you’ll need to gather 20x Wood and 10x Trash. Once you have the required materials, you can craft the chest and place it near your farm. By doing so, you can transfer your items to the chest, freeing up space in your backpack and toolbelt. This means you can carry more valuable resources and tools with you at all times. Craft as many chests as you need to store different categories of items, such as bugs, flowers, and other resources.
