How to create custom faces in Content Warning
Making custom ASCII faces in Content Warning requires heading into your computer’s registry files and modifying its FaceText files with your chosen custom face. Before changing your face, you’ll have to make sure you’ve opened Content Warning and saved a face. You also want to keep the game closed while creating your custom face.
Once you save a face and close the game, follow the steps to access your registry files and change your face:
- Open your Windows search and type in Registry Editor.
- Look for HKEY_CURRENT_USER.
- Bring the dropdown menus down until you find Software, Landfall Games, and Content Warning.
- Right-click the FaceText_h file and select Modify.
- Type in the values of your custom face before reopening Content Warning.
You’ll have your new custom face upon joining Content Warning. To find your new face, head into the face customization menu in your in-game house. It’ll automatically load on the screen, allowing you to confirm your selection and play.
