Give Link a boost
Elixirs in Tears of the Kingdom are helpful. They can help Link grip wet surfaces, stay warm in the cold, and keep cool in hot environments. However, it’s quite a process to create an elixir in Tears of the Kingdom. Here’s how to make them.
How to create Elixirs in Tears of the Kingdom
To be able to make Elixirs in Tears of the Kingdom, you’ll first need to find a cooking pot. They’re located in major towns and outside stables. You can also use a Portable Pot Zonai device.
Once the pot is in front of Link, go to the item menu. Now, select a critter like a frog and a monster part, such as a Blue Horriblin Horn, and have the Hero of Time hold them. Read the description of each item, and they’ll likely give a hint about the type of Elixir they’ll make. For example, a Hot-Footed Frog will give Link a speed boost.
Now, drop them into the pot. They’ll cook and create an Elixir for you. You’ll likely gain a Hasty Elixir if you mix a Hot-Footed Frog into the pot.
What kind of Elixirs can you make?
There are all manner of Elixirs in Tears of the Kingdom you can create. Warm Darners give cold resistance, Restless Crickets provide stamina recovery, and Rushrooms increase your maximum speed for a limited time. The stat increase isn’t limited to just one item, however. Sunshrooms can also help with cold resistance.
The Hearty Truffle even gives you more hearts temporarily. As previously mentioned, look at the description of each material to understand what it can add to your potions in Tears of the Kingdom.
