Sesame balls were initially introduced into Disney Dreamlight Valley during the Lucky Dragon update that also added Mulan’s Realm and the Memories Mania event. While some new recipes require you to progress through friendship levels, sesame balls are available once you unlock regions like the Glade of Trust, Sunlit Plateau, and the Forgotten Lands.
Sesame Balls recipe in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Below are all the ingredients you need to make the sesame balls recipe in Disney Dreamlight Valley:
- Wheat
- Seaweed
- Rice
- Soya
- Ginger
With all five items on hand, go to any stovetop or the Chez Remy kitchen to make the dish. Make sure to gather some coal, as you’ll need one piece for every serving of sesame balls you create.
Sesame balls restore 722 energy when you eat them. You can also sell them for 322 coins or give them to a village as a favorite daily gift. If you’re completing quests, you can also keep some on hand in case you suspect you’ll need them in the future.
All Sesame Balls ingredients
Sesame balls have five required ingredients, each with different spawn locations. Three items are available from Goofy Stalls, while the other two are found while foraging and fishing. Below is a list of every ingredient:
- Wheat: Peaceful Meadows
- Seaweed: Fishing anywhere
- Rice: Glade of Trust
- Soya: Sunlit Plateau
- Ginger: Forgotten Lands (foraging)
The three most challenging items to obtain are rice, soya, and ginger. While ginger doesn’t require waiting for a plant to grow, it’s only accessible in the Forgotten Lands, a late-game biome that takes tens of thousands of Dreamlight and multiple other region unlocks to enter. If you already have it open, it’s easy to pick up a few ginger.
Rice and soya are also difficult, requiring 50 and 90 minutes to grow, respectively. However, if you have WALL-E’s garden unlocked, you can harvest both from here, as long as you have it upgraded.
