Look sharp on your adventures
Equipping the best armor and weapons can sometimes result in an ugly costume design, but there are transmogs in Diablo 4 that will let you choose your style. You’ll eventually have to ditch the equipment you love in the pursuit of being the strongest in the game, but there is a way to keep it on while retaining the new equipment’s stat boosts.
Through the Blacksmith, you’ll be able to keep your styles without having to worry. Here’s how to salvage items & get transmogs in Diablo 4, fellow warriors and mages.
How to get transmogs in Diablo 4
To get transmogs in Diablo 4, you will need to salvage your equipment at the Blacksmith. They will take your items and then leave the style you’ve rid yourself of in the Wardrobe. The Blacksmith in the first major town Kyovashad provides this service to the east of the city. He’s right next to the Armor Vendor and is northeast of the healer Lidka.
When you’ve found the Blacksmith and spoken to him, select “Directly in Inventory.” This is symbolized by a pickaxe. Now you can salvage any equipment you don’t need. On the bottom right, you’ll see everything you can salvage. If there’s a pickaxe symbol next to it, that means a new costume style can be unlocked by giving it to the Blacksmith. It will also say “Unlocks new look on salvage.” Once this process is done, you can create it at the Wardrobe. Be careful, as some armor can be very valuable. You don’t want to waste equipment that has astronomical stats like the rare (golden) pants Attack Ire with 123 armor.
Once you go to your Wardrobe, there will be nine different color sets you can use with your equipment style. Brown, yellow, and purple are among a few of the options. Hopefully, the optional cosmetic options as purchasable content won’t restrict our style too much in the full game.
Also, if you see a pickaxe symbol next to a piece of gear or weapon, you shouldn’t sell it. Go to the blacksmith instead as instructed before. Sell the equipment that doesn’t have the symbol next to it.
Do you get resources from salvaging equipment?
Yes, you do. Resources are given to you with every salvage. For example, some common Hide Pants give +1 Rawhide. Blue-category equipment like Dampening Strfider’s Shoes, on the other hand, gives you an even rarer resource.
