Early in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, before getting the ikran mount, you likely stumbled on a particular side quest while traveling to the Aranahe Hometree. Finding Home – Part 1 is a quest that could leave you scratching your head in Avatar: FoP, but we know how to solve it.
The quest can be acquired by visiting an RDA lab just southeast of Hometree. On the map, it’s simply labeled ‘Computer Terminal’. The small outpost contains a laptop to hack, and doing so puts you on the Finding Home – Part 1 quest. The crux of the quest is that you need to find the location of a place shown in a simple image. The picture, which you can view as part of the quest’s info in the ‘Quests’ menu, shows what appears to be a river surrounded by trees with floating islands in the background. Since this is Pandora, that doesn’t exactly narrow it down.
You are offered some hints for your search:
- The location is in the Shadow Wood domain
- It’s near the center of the Tangled Stream
Where to find and solve Finding Home – Part 1 in Avatar: FoP
In all likelihood, this is where you’ll need to put a pause on the quest until you get an ikran mount. The location is far to the southwest of Kinglor Forest. You can hoof it, no doubt. But it’ll be far easier to hitch a ride. It’s also much safer, as the location you need to get to is surrounded by hostile RDA facilities polluting the area.
Once you’re ready, head to the Shadow Wood. The Tangled Stream is roughly in the center of the domain.
Look for an island nestled between the snaking streams.
Land by the northern river bank and look east toward the floating islands. You may be able to find the spot where the image was taken fairly easily:
Now, it’s time to find what you’re looking for. Head deeper into the island, due south. Keep an eye out for a gray RDA SciOps outpost.
Duck your head and go inside. Take a right and look at the table to find… a comic book page. The quest ends after you pick up the book and finish listening to the conversation.
Finding the book also begins your side distraction to find all eleven Comic Book Pages collectibles scattered around Pandora.
It is, of course, one of many distractions in the world of Avatar: FoP. There are more useful things to find, though, such as the Ancestor Skill locations.
