Trying to find the key to the Silver Bird Room where D is locked in Another Code: Recollection will lead you to the courtyard. There, you’ll find the most difficult puzzle in the game. So how do you solve the courtyard garden puzzle?
This puzzle is less about analytical thinking and more about perception. You’re trying to find the key to the Silver Bird Room, which D’s mother states was thrown into the fountain. The fountain’s water is dirty, so to clean it, Ashley needs to turn it back on.
If you examine the fountain, you’ll find that the issue is one of water pressure. There is none leading to the fountain. To get it going again, you’ll need to manipulate a few switches.
There is a main valve (square) you need to turn first. It’s in the Northwest corner of the garden. Afterwards, there are five switches you need to throw.
Three of them (circles) are valves. I’ll draw you a map of where to find them, but one is in the southeast corner of the courtyard. The other is on the left side of the stairs that lead into the central tower. The last is beside the door on the West side of the courtyard.
After that, there are two red handles on the sprinklers (triangles) on the far side of the garden. You need to interact with these individually to turn them off.
Once you’ve turned all the doodads in the garden, you need to return to the gauge on the fountain itself. The gauge should be on the border of the white and red zones. You can then turn the handle at the bottom of it, thus activating the fountain. You can then reach the key by interacting with the water on the far end.
