One of the events added in World of Warcraft: Dragonflight are the Grand Hunts. These are events that have you assisting the Maruuk Centaurs across the Dragon Isles (and are therefore located only on the Dragon Isles). There are some things you need to keep in mind in order to do these events.
Requirements for Dragonflight’s Grand Hunts
In order to access the Grand Hunts in Dragonflight, you need to have done two things:
- Progress through Dragonflight’s main questline until you reach Ohn’ahran Plains and complete the quest Maruukai. This will allow you to build renown with the Maruuk Centaurs.
- Reach renown level 5 with the Maruuk Centaurs.
Doing quests in the Ohn’ahran Plains is the best way to build renown with the Maruuk Centaurs, but that will only get you so far. Eventually, you’ll need to do repeatable world quests and defeat world bosses in the area.
Once you have attained renown level 5, then you can start doing the Grand Hunts.
How to start Grand Hunts
To start Grand Hunts in World of Warcraft Dragonflight, you simply need to look for a Horn on your map. That is to say, a horn like you blow into, not one that grows from the head of certain creatures. Note that these don’t always indicate a Grand Hunt, it can be an assortment of community events. You need to mouse over one and look for the words “Grand Hunt” at the top of their pop-up window.
You then go to that location, and you should see the objective pop-up on your screen. Grand Hunts go through six tasks. Once one is complete, it then moves on to another in a different location.
Grand Hunts last about 2 hours in one location, and then move on to the next. They continue to cycle around the Dragon Isle. You will only get rewards for completing three Grand Hunts per week.
Completing a Grand Hunt will net you a variety of spoils ranging from Centaur Hunting Trophies, Dragon Isles Supplies, and even a Plainswalker Bearer mount.
