How to move your save file to The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered

Some games have made this process a tricky one. You’ll be happy to know that this isn’t the case with this remaster. You do not need the original game downloaded on your console so long as your save files are on the console or stored via cloud storage, the game will automatically transfer them.

During this process, you will automatically unlock all your trophies, which should be good news for trophy hunters. If you select a New Game+ playthrough, you will start the game with all the weapons upgrades you’ve accumulated along with all the Savage Starlight cards you’ve found.

Things may get tricky when you have multiple save files, but the remaster helps you through this process as well. At the main menu, head to “Story” then “Import Game.” This will show you all the save files available to you.

Lastly, it’s worth noting that you cannot share save files between accounts. Therefore, if you have multiple accounts on your console, you can only transfer the save files tied to the account when playing the remastered sequel.
