The new Whiteout update is live for Vampire Survivors, and with it, you can unlock a brand-new character without too much trouble. Here’s how to locate and unlock She-Moon.
How to unlock She-Moon and beat the Whiteout level
She-Moon is unlocked by surviving 20 minutes in the Whiteout level. First, you’ll need to actually unlock Whiteout by collecting 20 Orologions (those clock power-ups that come out of lights in any stage that has power-ups). Consult our guide for more info on unlocking Whiteout!
Once you’re actually in Whiteout, you’ll want to bring your best character, as things can get really hairy 15 minutes in. That’s when all heck breaks loose and two wolf spirit enemies come in. They have a ton of health and can swat at you with their tails from across the screen.
If you’re just looking to survive and not optimize for score/unlocks, you’ll want to grab the Laurel as soon as you can. The aforementioned wolf enemies take a ton of work to kill, but you can also avoid them by constantly moving to stay out of range of their tail swipes. An upgraded laurel can take two tail hits even if you screw up, and by continuing to move across the battlefield, it’ll regenerate by the time those tails come after you again.
Beyond that, aggressive leveling is key. When the massive ghost wave comes in, move around and capitalize on their low-health pools and oodles of XP. Use that opportunity to aggressively level up and evolve a weapon or two, and try and upgrade your Laurel. HP absorption weapons/items also help you recoup some lost health from the wolves. As you can see in the screen above, those wolf tails won’t stop swiping at you even up until the bitter end.
Note that Whiteout actually ends entirely 20 minutes in, rather than the standard of 30 minutes. Death will come for you at the 20-minute mark, and once that happens, you are good to go for unlocking She-Moon.
How much gold does She-Moon cost and what are their abilities?
Once you’ve completed Whiteout, you’ll need to buy She-Moon Eeta from the character select screen for a modest sum of 1300 gold.
She-Moon is automatically equipped with the Glass Fandango weapon, and has the following ability: “freezes all enemies for 10 seconds when health reaches a critically low level.” Not bad! It’s always nice to have abilities you never really need to think about until you need it: though it’s more about survivability than a score-attack-centric power.
She-Moon’s core strength lies in their ability to start with the Glass Fandango, which is a fairly powerful early edge: complete with a super easy evolution (that just requires the Wings passive item).
