In Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone, completing weekly challenges is essential for a few reasons. The most obvious is earning extra experience. Leveling up quickly helps you progress the battle pass, earn new items, and more.
Ultimately, challenges are good for more than just the extra XP though. For example, the seasonal reward for season two is the Rotten Inferno camo, which only unlocks for players who complete enough weekly challenges every week of the current season.
How to find and view your weekly challenges in MW3 and Warzone
Finding your weekly challenges is easy, and the controls will obviously be different depending on which platform you play on. For PS5 players, press the options button, on PC press F1, on Xbox press the menu button. You can also simply move your cursor to the top right of the screen and click on the icon that looks like six white boxes stacked three across in two rows. Once the menu pops open, click on challenges.
In the challenges menu, you’ll see Weekly, Daily, Armory Unlocks, Weapons, Operator Challenge, and Calling Card. Here’s where you’ll find any specific challenges you’re looking for. As you might’ve guessed, you’ll need to click on Weekly to open your list of challenges.
In the weekly challenges menu, you can view each week’s one at a time. Future challenges don’t unlock until their corresponding week arrives. For example, week four challenges aren’t available until the fourth week of the current season arrives. However, the previous week’s challenges can still be completed after the week ends.
How to complete Modern Warfare 3 weekly challenges
Once inside the weekly challenges menu, challenges themselves are spelled out for you. There will be challenges for multiplayer and zombies modes, each rewarding bonus XP ranging from 1,000 to 10,000. It’s worth noting multiplayer challenges can be completed in Warzone, so if you only play Warzone, don’t fret.
However, some challenges, like 20 silenced kills with a recommended assault rifle, will be much easier to complete in regular multiplayer than in Warzone. Not only can you spawn in with the correct weapon instantly instead of having to buy a loadout, but killing 20 players in a single multiplayer match is much easier and faster than in a battle royale.
After completing enough challenges each week, you’ll earn a special reward. They’re usually weapon aftermarket parts that are usable on specific guns. For example, week one’s reward is a JAK Tyrant 762 kit for the Longbow. Earn each weekly reward for the entire season and you’ll get the seasonal reward at season’s end. For season two, it’s the Rotten Inferno gun camo.
