There are several armor perks in Helldivers 2, all of which provide some additional benefit to the player wearing them. The best, in my opinion, is Democracy Protects because it gives you a better chance of survival when being overwhelmed, with a 50% chance of not dying from lethal damage and prevents all bleeding damage from the chest.
Players also have a diverse range of tools to play around with in Helldivers 2. My favorites tend to be anything that’ll set the Terminids on fire, while others prefer to use explosives. With the release of the Cutting Edge Warbond, players discovered a new technique they could use to wipe out enemies in a flash. The Electrical Conduit armor perk.
How to use the Electrical Conduit armor perk in Helldivers 2
The Electrical Conduit armor perk does this. This means that you’ll take much less damage, almost none, from any electrical sources. While you might think this makes it safer to rush past Tesla Towers and other electrical weaponry, it does so much more. To use this perk effectively, you need to get your fellow Helldivers to shoot you with an energy-based weapon.
This will cause the energy to hit you but then bounce off of you and into any nearby enemies. Players quickly discovered this tactic after the release of the Cutting Edge Warbond. It makes getting surrounded by enemies a little less terrifying because you know your energy weapon specialist can blast you to take out a good chunk of the foes trying to rip you apart.
You can also use this perk to protect you as you run by Tesla Towers other Helldivers have deployed. These usually send you flying halfway across the map in pieces. With this perk, though, you’ll take a small hit and send the energy off toward whatever enemy you’re currently facing down.
When should you use Electrical Conduit armor in Helldivers 2?
Given the lower armor rating on any armor with the Electrical Conduit perk, it’s hard to justify using it in any Helldivers 2 build. However, there are times when it’s advantageous. This is almost exclusively in missions against Automaton enemies. They quickly overwhelm you in huge numbers, especially in greater difficulties, so it makes sense to turn your Helldiver into a pylon from which damage can flow.
Of course, if you’re a player who tends to get stuck into the fray when it comes to any mission against any enemy faction, it’s probably best to learn how to make the most of this pretty quickly. If you can turn your play style into a weapon for every other player on your team, it’ll see you break through defenses and complete objectives much faster.
