Hyper Light Drifter has a sweet new collector’s edition

And the soundtrack is coming to vinyl

Heart Machine and iam8bit are planning a decidedly retro collector’s edition for Hyper Light Drifter.

Yes, that’s a replica Super Nintendo cartridge. While it isn’t functional, the bold color choice brings back fond memories of eye-piercing game carts like the one for Maximum Carnage, and the box it comes in is super slick. The package also includes a game code (your choice of PC right now, or PlayStation 4 or Xbox One once those versions are finished), a 24-page manual, and a 24 x 18″ world map poster. It’ll ship in late summer and costs $65.

And since this is iam8bit — and especially since the soundtrack to Hyper Light Drifter was done by Disasterpeace (Fez, It Follows) — there’s also a separate 4xLP vinyl set. It’s $75, with shipping expected to happen this winter, and you’ll also get a digital copy of the soundtrack right away.

Lastly, they’re doing some art prints for good measure. I mean, they had to, right?
