Sorry, I had to. The Starfield pre-launch hype continues with a specially crafted song from Imagine Dragons. The song, titled Children of the Sky, incorporates the main theme music from the open-world RPG. In the video for the song, we also get a special fly through the world—well, universe—of Starfield.
In the video we get a look at the protagonist, our playable character, walking across the surface of various planets with beautiful skyboxes above. Some of these views are ones we haven’t seen before, but that’s to be expected as Starfield has over 1,000 planets in total.
Imagine Dragons is no stranger to making music specifically for games. Their hit song Radioactive was used heavily in the promotion of Assassin’s Creed III back in 2012. Also, Imagine Dragons has made music specifically for League of Legends and its hit animated Netflix series Arcane.
Whether you’re a fan of Imagine Dragons or not, one thing is certain about Starfield: the hype is very real. If you are a fan of the song, it’s already available on all music streaming platforms like Spotify.
Starfield releases on September 6 on PC and Xbox Series X|S. It will also be on Game Pass day one. If you pre-order the premium edition you can get access a few days early on September 1.
