Sony has announced that inFAMOUS 2 is out on June 7 in the United States, with a European date pending. Also confirmed was the Hero Edition that had been spotted on Amazon last week, and a range of preorder bonuses.
The Hero Edition contains an 8.5 inch statue of Cole, a DC mini comic, a sling pack, and a “Supervoucher” that contains a range of downloadable content, as well as the official soundtrack. If you don’t want to plug for the special edition, but you do want some of the Supervoucher content, you can preorder at one of the following outlets:
- Amazon = 24k Gold Amp, a golden version of Cole’s melee weapon.
- Best Buy = Kessler Skin, making Cole look like the villain from the first game.
- GameStop = Lightning Hook, which grapples enemies/objects and pulls them close.
- Walmart = Electrocution grenade, a grenade that electrocutes, obviously.
Participating retailers will also offer the soundtrack.
Weird how the Hero Edition basically negates any of the retailer incentives, but there ya go. What are you planning to get?
