New digs for 47 and 007
Danish developer IO Interactive has announced the establishment of a brand new studio, situated in Istanbul, Turkey. The new studio represents major growth for the Hitman developer, and is expected to play a key role in all of IO’s forthcoming releases.

“The mission of IOI Istanbul is to establish a hub for AAA game development in the region and create unique game experiences for our players across the world. The Istanbul studio, which is the fourth of IOI’s global locations, is opening at a time when the developer has announced that it is about to focus full-time on its previously teased Project 007. Speaking in a recent interview with Eurogamer, IO noted that its core franchise, Hitman, was on “a little bit of a hiatus” while the team concentrated on the James Bond title. They were also quick to point out that they saw Agent 47 as an integral part of the studio, so we can expect his return in good time.
