Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is the next big game to come from Ubisoft. As the French publisher has an on again off again relationship with Steam, it’s understandable that there are questions about whether Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora will be released on the most popular storefront. Here’s what we know.
Is Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora available on Steam?
The short answer is that, at launch, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is not on Steam. That’s not to say that the game won’t be available on Valve’s platform eventually, but there’s no clear timeline for when that could happen.
On PC, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is available from Ubisoft’s storefront, Ubisoft Connect, as well as via the Epic Games Store and Amazon Luna.
The game may eventually be released on Steam, but don’t expect it to happen in a timely fashion. If we look at Ubisoft’s track record, Steam fans could be waiting up to two years for the game to appear on Valve’s store.
Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla was released on November 10, 2020, but Ubisoft didn’t put the game on Steam until just over two years later, on December 6, 2022. Far Cry 6 had a slightly shorter wait period as that game launched on October 7, 2021, and was added to Steam 19 months later on May 11, 2023.
If we use those two games as a benchmark, we can surmise that Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora could be held back from Steam for a similar amount of time. That might mean we can expect to see the game on the Steam store in mid to late 2025. Sorry, Steam fans, hopefully, it will be quicker this time.
