Diablo 4 has been highly anticipated and praised across the board by critics. With so much hype, many would hope Diablo 4 on Xbox Game Pass would be a reality. Games are expensive nowadays, and having titles on the subscription service from day one is a huge plus.

Playing Diablo 4 without having to shell out $70 sounds devilishly enticing. Thankfully, you can finally fall to temptation as Diablo 4 will be on Xbox Game Pass starting March 28, 2024.
“We intend to make Activision Blizzard’s much-loved library of games – including Overwatch, Diablo, and Call of Duty – available in Game Pass and to grow those gaming communities,” said Phil Spencer in an official September 2022 blog post. “By delivering even more value to players, we hope to continue growing Game Pass, extending its appeal to mobile phones and any connected device.”
A recent Official Xbox podcast episode announced the news of Diablo IV heading to Xbox Game Pass, and it sounds like the publisher isn’t finished yet with bringing over Activision-Blizzard games to the service.
“It’s all part of our commitment to make Xbox, the Xbox experience, and the games as we build as widely available as possible, so now the 34 million Game Pass can all enjoy the fantastic experience of Diablo 4.” said Xbox President Sarah Bond.
Hopefully, more series and franchises like Spyro the Dragon, Tony Hawk, and, most notably, Call of Duty will head to the service soon afterward. Heck, it would even be cool to see the cult-favorite Singularity get a fresh coat of paint on Xbox Game Pass.
Diablo 4 on Xbox Game Pass would only help the game. It would boost its player base and keep the community healthy. Perhaps it would be a good way to get your hesitant or beleaguered friends to try out the game.
Games like Diablo IV on Xbox Game Pass
There are plenty of outstanding action RPGs on Xbox Game Pass. For example, if you like to shoot and loot, Outriders is an underrated pleasure with plenty of cool weapons and an intriguing sci-fi world. There’s also the famed Fable trilogy available on the service that has an engaging fantasy setting. Additionally, you may want to check out the dark fantasy roguelite Lootriver.
There’s no exact top-down action RPG game out there on Xbox Game Pass right now; hopefully, Microsoft will give us an alternative soon.
