Is Helldivers 2 crossplay?

Will you form a squad with friends?

Helldivers 2 crossplay between PS5 and PC players would be great

Co-op third-person shooter Helldivers 2 lets you and your friends take on fiendish aliens in atmospheric environments. Can you play with your PC friends (and vice versa) with Helldivers 2 crossplay?

Will there be Helldivers 2 crossplay functionality?

Yes, there will indeed be Helldivers 2 crossplay functionality from day one. “We’re pleased to announce that Helldivers 2 supports crossplay!” said Arrowhead Game Studios Social Media and Community Manager Katherine Baskin on the PlayStation Blog. “That means your teammates on PC can play with you on PS5 and vice versa.”

You’ll likely need to create a PlayStation account and link it to the game once Helldivers 2 releases on February 8. Thankfully, you won’t need powerful specs to run this multiplayer title on PC.

It’s quite possible Helldivers 2 would be better with co-op. The official Steam page says that “Each enemy has distinct and unpredictable characteristics, tactics, and behavior – but they all fight ferociously and without fear or morality.” You’ll need to stay on your toes, and it would be good to have a partner watching your back.

Other multiplayer PlayStation games on PC

Despite Returnal not supporting crossplay, it’s a fantastic multiplayer experience on PC or PS5. It’s a rogue-like action-packed shooter that has you exploring a mysterious sci-fi world. The bosses are intense, and you have to be observant of every enemy’s tactics and attack pattern.

Hopefully, more multiplayer PlayStation games release on PC. Ghost of Tsushima has a specific mode which would be great with crossplay. It hasn’t been confirmed for release on the platform yet, but it’s been heavily rumored. Bloodborne would be a fantastic addition on Steam as well.
