LEGO Fortnite has arrived, and it seems to be giving players an experience that channels the best of Fortnite with a focus on survival and crafting. In the lead-up to launch, the team was being coy about what it’d manifest as, saying it was “the ultimate survival crafting adventure.”
So, one of the questions on everyone’s mind is a rather simple one: Is LEGO Fortnite multiplayer? Can you leap into the survival action mashing together two of gaming’s biggest brands with your friends and family? Let’s see if we can answer that for any curious readers.
Is LEGO Fortnite multiplayer?
Yes! In fact, it looks like the multiplayer process works the same way as the Battle Royale mode does. If you’d like to invite a friend to play in your world, you can do so by opening up the social panel and sending them an invite.
But, it doesn’t seem that LEGO Fortnite has an option to squad up with randoms like its older sibling does. I’d imagine that has something to do with the development team’s focus on creating “a familiar, safe and secure environment,” according to the LEGO Fortnite Parent’s Guide.
It honestly makes a ton of sense that LEGO Fortnite is multiplayer where it counts. It’s an open world survival experience and to imagine building a community with my close friends is a dream made real. It might not have as much cartoonish violence as Battle Royale, but it’d seem LEGO Fortnite has a bright future ahead of it, especially as updates start rolling in starting in 2024.
