The world of Cyberpunk 2077 saw a resurgence in popularity after launch, thanks in no part to the highly acclaimed Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. As the deuteragonist next to David Martinez, Lucy became a fan-favorite among viewers. Did the netrunner with an attitude and a dream make it out of Edgerunners alive to thrive in Cyberpunk 2077? Lucy made it clear early in the show that she had one desire: to visit the moon. Her dream changed slightly when she met David: she wanted to step onto the lunar landscape with him by her side.

Lucy is likely still alive, but she’s not in Cyberpunk 2077

Lucy, unfortunately, hasn’t been found in Cyberpunk 2077. Even after the developer released its Edgerunners update for the game, any word on her being alive somewhere is unknown. But that doesn’t mean she’s dead. From here on we’re diving into Edgerunners spoilers, so keep that in mind before continuing.

At the end of the show, David Martinez was being entirely swallowed up by his cyberpsychosis. But before he lost himself completely, he was killed by the walking tank Adam Smasher. Lucy managed to escape and later finally accomplishes her dream of walking on the moon. Unfortunately, she had to do it alone.

The ending of Edgerunners is more bitter than bittersweet. It’s unknown if Lucy is still alive in Cyberpunk 2077 following her Edgerunners debut, but the show’s ending does hint that she is. Whether or not we’ll ever see her again is up to CD Projekt Red.
