Many factors can influence whether or not you play Nightingale, from its price to whether it’s available on your favorite console. While the game will be available on PC from day one, you may have to wait a while before having Xbox or PlayStation as an option.
Is Nightingale coming to PlayStation and Xbox consoles?
No, Nightingale isn’t coming to PS4, PS5, or Xbox consoles during its initial Early Access period. For now, it is a PC-only game launching on Steam and the Epic Games Store for $29.99, starting from February 20, 2024. Although it may come to other platforms in the future, it will initially be released on computers, with no current plans to launch elsewhere.
Similarly, Nightingale won’t be on Xbox Game Pass. Although you can play it on PC, you can’t use your PC Game Pass subscription, as it’ll only be on Steam and EGS. In other words, if you want to play Nightingale on launch day, you’ll have to spend $29.99 or your regional equivalent to play on one of these two platforms. Otherwise, it’s unknown whether or not it’ll launch elsewhere.
Nightingale will initially launch in Early Access starting February 20, with both solo and multiplayer compatibility. It will also have controller support and Steam Deck compatibility as a planned feature. While there’s no exact timeline for how long its Early Access period will last, Inflexion’s current prediction is that it’ll stay in this stage for anywhere from nine months to over one year.
After its Early Access launch, Nightingale may come to other platforms, such as PS and Xbox consoles. However, while the possibility exists, there are no guarantees it’ll happen. It will largely depend on its performance after its initial release, and even then, only time will tell whether or not it’ll expand to consoles or handheld platforms.
