Games like Nightingale are perfect for a “trial run” on Xbox Game Pass, before deciding whether or not to buy them at full price.
However, while it is available on PC through Steam and the Epic Games store, the same doesn’t apply to the Xbox app.
Is Nightingale coming to Xbox Game Pass?
No, Nightingale will not launch on Xbox Game Pass at launch. Starting February 20, 2024, it will be available to purchase and play on PC through Steam and the Epic Games store for $29.99 or your regional equivalent. If you plan to play Nightingale on its release day, you’ll have to buy it on one of these platforms.
While this may change later in the game’s development cycle, Nightingale has no immediate plans to launch on Game Pass. Instead, it will be available in Early Access as a PC-exclusive launch, with plans to gain Steam Deck compatibility and partial controller support. You can also play solo or in a six-player party on official dedicated servers.
Since Nightingale is PC-only during its Early Access period, you won’t be able to buy it on Xbox or PlayStation consoles. The game’s launch popularity may lead to a console release in the future; until then, your only option is to hop on your computer to play.
Initially, Inflexion Games had plans to launch Nightingale in 2022 before pushing its release date to 2023. After updating this time to February 22, 2024, its final launch date was set two days earlier to February 20. From here, it’ll enter an Early Access period for anywhere from nine months to a year, potentially longer, depending on how its development progresses. During its Early Access time, it’ll experience changes to its realms and biomes, creatures, and progression system, among other features, in preparation for its final launch.
