Is Overcooked 2 cross platform?

Is Overcooked 2 Cross Platform?

Overcooked 2 is one of those frantic party games that will cause so much chaos, but also provide a lot of fun. Though it isn’t always viable to always play locally, does the game provide crossplay online? Let’s dig in (literally).

Is Overcooked 2 cross platform?

Unfortunately, the game does not support cross platform play. The only technical part of crossplay this game has is within the same console realm. Xbox One players can play with Xbox Series X and S players, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 players can play with each other, and PC players can play with each other via Steam and Epic games.

How do people play Overcooked crossplay?

While crossplay is not available for Overcooked 2, not all is lost. You can partake in the madness with players on other platforms if you purchase Overcooked: All You Can Eat. This is the remastered version of both games packaged into one with over 200 levels and more than 80 characters to choose from.

The definitive version of both Overcooked games is also more cost-effective. If you have yet to buy any of the games because of cross platform play, now is the time to. It’s great locally and online. This will appeal even to casual friends who may just have a Nintendo Switch or a Steam Deck as their primary platform.

Just know that since this is not a free-to-play game, you still have to have an active online subscription if you are playing on a home console on PlayStation, Xbox, or Nintendo Switch. You’ll also have access to the game’s built-in voice chat so you can experience the cooking mayhem.

You can also opt to use other forms of verbal communication like Discord, but you should only use this option if you’re playing with people in premade groups.
