The Disney Dreamlight Valley expansion A Rift In Time is now available to purchase. However, does Xbox Game Pass have this included, or does the wallet have to come out?

Can you play the Disney Dreamlight Valley expansion on Game Pass?

Unfortunately, the Disney Dreamlight Valley expansion isn’t available to Xbox Game Pass subscribers. This could certainly change within the next few months, but as of the time of writing, you need to pay for the A Rift in Time DLC. You can still play the game, and now that Disney Dreamlight Valley isn’t free-to-play, so there’s still an incentive to be a Game Pass subscriber. There are also a ton of other great games to play on the service like Lies of P and Persona 5 Tactica.

What do you get with the A Rift in Time DLC?

You can still purchase the A Rift In Time DLC through the Xbox app on your PC. You can also get it through your Xbox like any other DLC as well. It comes with four new characters to meet like WALL-E‘s Eve, Tangled‘s Rapunzel (the best Disney princess), Beauty & The Beast‘s Gaston, and Aladdin‘s Jafar. There are also three new biomes to explore and the new Royal Tool the Hourglass, which gives you visions of the past.

It currently retails for $29.99. If you want to purchase Disney Dreamlight Valley rather than playing it through Game Pass, there is the Gold Edition ($69.99), which comes with:

  • The game
  • A Rift in Time expansion
  • Flowerry Capybara Animal Companion Skin
  • Artist’s Overalls
  • Flowery Summer Cottage House style
  • 15,000 Moonstones

The physical Cozy Edition is also available. It comes with a sticker sheet, one of six double-sided collectible posters, an exclusive Cheshire Cat sweater in-game, the exclusive Raccoon Companion skins, and 16,500 Moonstones. It doesn’t have the DLC included, however. Keep in mind the Switch edition doesn’t come with a physical cartridge.
