Can you play as the Warlock in Dark and Darker?

Even though we got a first look at the Warlock a month ago, it looks like the character is not quite ready. When you create a character in the current build of Dark and Darker, a placeholder Warlock portrait is there. However, the portrait has a Coming Soon overlay indicating it’s not in just yet. At least we know it’s only a matter of time before the Warlock is available.

However, even though we don’t have the opportunity to check out Warlock just yet, we did still get a new character. The music-playing Bard character has been added to Dark and Darker with a plethora of instruments as weapons including a Lute, Flute, and Drums.

How will the Warlock play in Dark and Darker?

We don’t have exact details on how the Warlock will play just yet. However, based on the first-look video we can get a pretty good idea of what the character can do. Of course, it’s possible the character will change by the time it is actually released, so keep that in mind.

For now, we’ve got a look at a few of the Warlock spells. First is the Power of Sacrifice spell which will curse your target, causing them to lose health over time but gain increased strength. Next is Curse of Weaken, which will reduce your target’s base stats for a duration. We also got a look at a higher-tier spell called Hellfire that summons a fiery blast, burning enemies over time.

Warlock is sure to be a fun character to play when it is eventually added to Dark and Darker.
