Who is pulling the strings?
During Friday’s THQ 10th Anniversary showcase, the publisher revealed a third title in the warfaring strategy series, Jagged Alliance. The suitably titled Jagged Alliance 3 is currently in development for PC at Haemimont Games.
As you can see from the announcement trailer above, the new sequel will see the return of deep, tactical, turn-based action as players lead a team of mercenaries deep into the fictional nation of Grand Chien — overthrown by a mysterious paramilitary force following the mysterious disappearance of its president. Guiding a band of new and familiar faces, the player will be tasked with capturing territories, expanding their army, and utilizing careful planning, smart maneuvers, and good old-fashioned ultraviolence to dictate the future of a small country in complete disarray.
Jagged Alliance 3 will feature a full story campaign that can be enjoyed in both single-player and multiplayer co-op modes and will allow for the customization of your team’s skills and abilities as the level up from each encounter. Keep your eyes peeled for technology, weaponry, and people who can help aid your cause as you pick your way through the treacherous terrain of Grand Chien, and uncover the truth behind the president’s disappearance and the mysterious paramilitary force known as “The Legion”. (Yes, it’s the whole “Baddies Called ‘Legion'” deal… Again.)
