Jeklynn Heights goes for crowdfunding with Indiegogo

Promising indie title needs to stack that paper

Indie PC multiplayer game Jeklynn Heights has been on my radar for a very long time, as previous coverage indicates. News on the game’s been quiet lately, but Vex Studios hasn’t gone away, and has unveiled a new plan to get Jeklynn out of the gate — an Indiegogo campaign

With the crowd funding craze still very much alive, Vex is hoping to move away from self funding its project and getting interested consumers on board. It’s asking for a relatively humble $5,000, and at the time of writing, as five dollars of that secured. It’s only just opened the thing up though, so hopefully it does a bit better than that!

The stretch goals aren’t extravagant, but for $100, you’ll get to become an actual consultant on the game, directly liaising with the team and providing your own insights. Wouldn’t that be fun?

Jeklynn Heights is a twisted fairytale arena combat game that first drew my attention for its Burtonesque style and dark humor. It uses both third and first person gameplay, while drawing from role-playing, strategy, and adventure games. It’s definitely one of the most interesting indie efforts on the market, and could be well worth getting invested in, should you be so inclined.
