Some new fighters enter the ring
It’s time to get stylish and strike a pose. JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R will get the action started on Sept. 2, 2022 for consoles and one day prior on PC.
Bandai Namco announced the news today with a new trailer, showcasing all the different eras of JoJo’s. Alongside the familiar faces, the likes of Jonathan Joestar and Dio Brando, four new fighters were revealed as well.
Joining the roster of All-Star Battle R is Robert E.O. Speedwagon from Phantom Blood; Mariah and Pet Shop from Stardust Crusaders; and Diego Brando, from Steel Ball Run.
Bandai Namco also announced the different editions of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R today. The standard edition runs $49.99, and any pre-order of the game will include a special prison jacket costume for Jolyne Cujoh, star of Stone Ocean.
The Digital Deluxe Edition packs in some special event colors and the Season Pass for All-Star Battle R, which will have four new characters, two costumes, and two days of early access to any Season Pass character for $69.99. And in the Collector’s Bundle, $99.99 gets you All-Star Battle R, a special event color set for some more characters, and a 10-inch statue of Jolyne Cujoh.
It was me, a demo
An early access demo for All-Star Battle R is also on the way, for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 owners. The demo will have online PvP and practice. No date has been set yet.
Boasting a roster of 50 characters, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R certainly looks to combine every era of JoJo’s into one big battle arena. The JoJo’s series has been running a long time and has left an indelible mark on manga and anime, so it’s exciting to see that legacy all re-packaged and brought forward to modern systems. And also, who doesn’t want to see if Jolyne could best her predecessors in their prime, or make Dio Brando fight an actual bird?
JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R hits PC on Sept. 1. PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch owners can enter the ring on Sept. 2.
