Indie developer askiisoft has tweeted out the news that their kinetic action adventure Katana Zero has managed to sell over 100,000 copies on Steam during its first week of release.

Katana Zero is published by Devolver Digital, and in keep with a lot of their catalogue contains stylised visuals, a rainbow of colours and lashings of the old ultraviolence, all backed by a slick music score. Players guide a samurai character – The Dragon – on a series of assassination missions, stringing together kills and working fast and with efficiency to get the job done, while styling on a lot of perps along the way.

askiisoft also took the opportunity to reveal that free DLC will be headed to the title in the future, including a speedrun mode, which is a popular inclusion for games of this ilk. If you fancy diving in the bloody and balletic world of Katana Zero yourself, then it’s available to purchase on PC now via Steam.
