Yet again, it seems another criminal has learned that blaming videogames for your crimes will net you a sympathetic ear from some arsehammer, as one more killer has claimed that games sent him over the edge. Hu Ange from Sichuan Province, China, is attempting to plead insanity for poisoning his parents. The cause? Games, of course.
Ange poisoned his parents with tetramine after sinking all his assets into the online game Legend. In 2007, he had attempted to poison his father with 20 packs of the poison, but failed. He would soon up the ante with 45 packs of the stuff and mixed it up with beef, happily playing Legend while his dying mother called for help.
Clearly a cold, callous and altogether self-centered piece of trash, but he knows that blaming videogames is the way forward these days. With the Jack Thompsons of the world making these criminals think they can get a free pass, this won’t be the end of it.
