Win 10 no longer a COMBO BREAKER
It was quite the surprise when Microsoft announced that Killer Instinct would be heading to PC, but I don’t think many people anticipated the game would ever launch on Steam. As we’ve seen with the recent ports of Quantum Break and Halo Wars, though, it looks like Microsoft is open to letting some of their bigger games on other platforms and Killer Instinct is about to join that list.
Announced via Twitter from the official Killer Instinct account, the game will be juggling its way on over to Valve’s digital distribution service sometime later this year. While the full details aren’t present (like if your Xbox One/PC purchases will carry over or if there will be cross-platform play), this is some pretty great news for people who aren’t fans of the Windows Store.
I know I, personally, can’t stand UWP apps, so I’m definitely more interested in getting the PC version of Killer Instinct now.
That’s right, KI is coming to Steam later this year! Thanks to @CEOJebailey for helping us break the news. More details to follow.
